Varen Shave Soap (CAIRN)

Varen Shave Soap (CAIRN)

Some landmarks remain even after the trail changes. The Scent Atlas is incomplete without this soap. Though it is no longer available through Shave Compass or Stirling Soap Co., it carved a path through artisan shaving history. This Cairn marks its location so future explorers can understand where it stood.

SHAVE COMPASS BEARING

A natural fougere built without compromise. Oakmoss, lavender, and coumarin carried the full classic structure, deepened by cedar, sage, and lichen. Two years in the making, it was named for the Dutch word for fern, created originally for a wetshaving forum overseas before it found a wider audience. The route to Varen is closed. Shavers who want to stand somewhere near it should look toward Fougère Bouquet, still active on the map, which shares the same damp, mossy character.

ARTISAN DESCRIPTION

Scent Description: Another fantastic Stirling original scent, Varen was a project 2 years in the making.  It was originally made for a Dutch wetshaving forum, so we gave it the name Varen, the Dutch word for "fern". This natural fougere is a powerful blend of oakmoss, lavender, coumarin, vetiver, sage, cedar, lichen, and geranium.

WARNING: DO NOT USE if you are pregnant or have epilepsy due to the oakmoss content.
