HAGS Artisan Shaving Products grew from an unexpected return to shaving. During the 2020 lockdown, Dimitrios Charokopos picked up a razor after years of wearing facial hair. A rough experience with commercial foam and a cartridge razor sent him into traditional wet shaving, then into researching and experimenting with shaving soap formulations of his own. That technical pursuit developed alongside an artistic identity Dimitrios had been building much longer. Music, horror cinema and grotesque art have been lasting influences, and HAGS brings that darker visual language directly into its labels, fragrance concepts and storytelling. The artwork isn't separate from the product. It is part of how HAGS establishes the world around each release. Formulation receives the same attention across both shaving soaps and aftershaves. HAGS works across three distinct soap bases, including plant-based OSIRIS X, tallow-and-milk HATHOR X and the skin-focused CORTEX X, each offering a different approach to lather, glide, cushion and post-shave feel. Its aftershaves extend that same base-driven philosophy beyond the lather through Tesseract 4.3.4, Tesseract 4.2.5 and Aegis 6.1.2, giving shavers alcohol-based, witch hazel and moisturizing balm routes to finish the shave. Made in Psychiko, Athens, HAGS sits at an unusual intersection on the Artisan Atlas: traditional wet shaving viewed through a darker artistic lens, backed by a maker who seems just as interested in evolving the formulas behind the shave as the artwork surrounding them.

Noble Otter began in 2017 after Cody's interest in traditional wet shaving crossed paths with soapmaking at home. What started as an effort to make better shaving soap developed into a Houston-based brand with a distinctive way of treating fragrance, artwork and story as parts of the same release. Each scent is built to feel like somewhere you can go. Original artwork gives that place a face, while the fragrance and accompanying story fill in the terrain. That approach has allowed Noble Otter to move comfortably across the Scent Atlas, from rain and earth to citrus, spice, barbershop structures, woods and sweeter territory without losing the identity of the maker behind them. The catalog extends beyond soap alone. Matching aftershaves carry many fragrances through the full shave, while the brand's synthetic brush brings the Noble Otter identity into the hardware side of the ritual. Made in Houston, Texas, Noble Otter has become a recognizable landmark in modern artisan wet shaving by making the world around a scent feel nearly as considered as the shave itself.

Rad Dinosaur Creations makes unique, handcrafted shaving brushes, with handles built from a variety of materials including resin, acrylic, wood, Fordite and metal inlays. Most are designed for 26mm knots, including several options made exclusively for Rad Dinosaur Creations. Nate’s approach is deliberately low-volume. Each brush is completed with the utmost care and attention to the finishing process, resulting in a clean, glossy finish with no sanding or tooling marks before it leaves the shop. The goal is not to make as many brushes as possible. The goal is to make each individual brush as exceptional as possible. Nate doesn't have set colorways or named shapes, so each brush is unique and one-of-a-kind. That same approach carries into custom work. Rather than simply taking specifications, Nate works with customers to understand what they want from the finished brush and what matters to them. Whether it's a custom order or an original one that Nate dreamed up on his own, the result is functional art intended to remain part of someone’s shave den for years and years.

Soap Spoon LLC approaches wet-shaving tools with a maker’s eye for the small details that improve the ritual. His SR1 started with a simple idea: give bowl latherers a purpose-built tool for carving, scooping, spreading and managing shaving soap, rather than adapting something made for another job. Its razor-inspired form brings several functions into one compact tool designed specifically around the shave. Andy brings an engineering-first approach to that idea. Each SR1 is made from PCTG using FDM 3D printing, then individually finished by hand through a multi-stage process. Designed and manufactured in the USA from U.S.-produced raw materials, no two finished SR1s are exactly alike. It’s the first expression of a broader line of shaving accessories Andy is continuing to develop.

Heather Melton has built the brand around small-batch products designed not only to perform during the shave, but to leave the skin comfortable after it. That philosophy is clearest in Sego, Zingari Man’s tallow-based shave soap. Zingari Man has been moving its scented post-shave lineup toward After Shave Serum, while maintaining a broader apothecary-minded catalog that includes dedicated skincare and grooming products. Fragrance gives that technical foundation range. From barbershop structures and bright citrus to woods, aquatics, spice and darker atmospheric scents, Zingari Man crosses a wide stretch of the Scent Atlas while keeping skin care at the center of the route.
