Our Topanga Fougère is an homage to the grandeur of Houbigant's Fougère Royale, created by the young genius Paul Parquet back in 1882. Although not a direct interpretation, this scent carries the inspirational spirit of its predecessor, transporting you to the heart of an imaginary forest. "Fougère," meaning fern in French, describes a scent that blends the woody, floral, and herbal notes reminiscent of a forest floor, despite ferns themselves being largely scentless.
The fragrance journey of Topanga Fougère begins with a floral accord of Lavender and Geranium, setting the stage with their calming and subtly sweet aroma. This initial bouquet delicately evolves into the heart of the fragrance, where woody elements of Ho Wood and Balsam Tolu take over. Their rich, warm aromas evoke the serenity and solidity of a verdant woodland.
The experience concludes with a grounding, herbal base featuring Clary Sage, Vetiver, Patchouli, and Sweet Myrrh. These notes add depth and complexity, their earthy and slightly sweet qualities offering balance and longevity to the scent.
