SHAVE COMPASS BEARING
Aftermath sits deep in Shadow & Smoke. Incense, opoponax and labdanum form its dense resinous center, while oud, leather and patchouli keep the base dark and weighty. Oregano and pepper cut through that smoke with an aromatic, spicy edge, pulling it toward the Ember & Spice border. Bergamot provides a brief flash of brightness, but this is ultimately a smoky, resinous composition built around darkness, warmth and contrast.

First released in 2021, Aftermath began as a story of discovery: a mysterious astronaut uncovered in the silence of an alien landscape, surrounded by those who believed they had found something lost.
For HAGS' 5th Anniversary, Aftermath returns with the exact original 2021 scent formula preserved. The fragrance itself remains unchanged, while the artwork advances the story: the once-buried astronaut now stands in command beneath a celestial beam, transformed from unknown relic into the dominant force of the scene.
The anniversary release is limited to 300 pieces and is presented in HAGS' CORTEX X shaving soap base.

CORTEX X – Where Skin Science Meets Tradition
CORTEX X is HAGS' advanced tallow-based shaving soap formula, developed for dense, cushion-rich lather, strong slickness and residual glide, and a soft, hydrated post-shave feel. Its firmer croap texture is intended to provide better surface control and more efficient brush loading.

The Process
HAGS produces its shaving soaps using a hot-process method that allows selected oils and butters to remain in raw, unsaponified form. This is intended to support the soap's conditioning and moisturizing properties while maintaining a stable, performance-focused lather.

For Optimal Lather and Maximum Performance
- Load the brush directly from the soap surface for approximately 10 seconds.
- Build the lather in a bowl or directly on the face, adding water gradually as needed.
CORTEX X is designed to accept a substantial amount of water while maintaining density and a creamy texture, allowing the user to adjust hydration and consistency to preference.
Scent Strength Indicator
The scent-strength meter on the bottom of the jar represents fragrance intensity after the soap has been lathered rather than the strength straight from the container.
